INSTITUTE OF CHARTED CHEMISTS OF NIGERIA (ICCON) ANNOUNCES ITS 2014 PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATION EXAMINATION

The Institute of Charted Chemists of Nigeria (ICCON) wishes to inform the general public and qualified Chemists in particular, that its 2014 Professional Membership Qualifying Examination will hold  on Saturday, 23 August, 2014

FOR WHOM:

Chemists with minimum qualification of B.SC/B.Tech/B.Ed/HND or higher degree in Chemistry or Chemistry related disciplines (Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Science Laboratory, Chemistry option, etc.) with NYSC discharge/ examination certificate.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Applicants should download application forms from the institute’s website, fill and send to the

·         the secretariat for processing. Forms can also be obtained directly from the Institute’s headquarters in Lagos

·         Successful applicants will be contacted after screening and formally advised on payment for examination materials, venue, etc.

·         Examination/ course materials would be sent to all successful applicants to prepare for the examination

·         Induction of successful candidates is scheduled for November, 2014.

COURSE CONTENTS:

a.      Module 1: Chemistry and National Economy

b.      Module 2:        Principle of Chemical Management

c.       Module 3:        Production and Quality Assurance Management

d.      Module 4:        Modern Methods of Chemical Analysis

e.      Module 6:        Project Management

f.        General questions and Current Affairs

EXAMINATION CENTRES:

Examination holds in:

Lagos (Chemistry Department, University of Lagos);

Abuja (Chemistry Department, University of Abuja main campus); and

 Delta (Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba), simultaneously.

Tutorials would be conducted at various centres on Friday, 22^nd August, 2014 by 12:00

EXAMINATION FEES:

The sum of Twenty five thousand naira (#25,000.00) only is charged as Examination fee per applicant and this covers course materials and tutorial

Please note that applicants name (surname first) are to appear on the payment tellers, irrespective of who made the payment. This is for your proper documentation. Also note that electronic calculators, (NOT GSM PHONES) will be allowed in the examination venue.
