VACANCY FOR THE POSITION OF HEAD, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT UNIT

An outstanding company with specialization in pension fund administration has an opportunity for a hardworking, goal driven, focused individual to fill the position of Head, Research and development Unit in Abuja. The successful candidate will be responsible for research and development in the area of business development. The position would be involved applying and extending the understanding of business expansion needs to meet the challenges of this fasting moving environment.

This is an autonomous role, which requires someone who is comfortable with decision making. Applicant must possess excellent leadership skills and be able to drive the company’s business development needs.

Position: Head, Research and Development Unit

Key Responsibilities include:

·         Design and implement extensive research on the company’s current and future business opportunities, market reach, products, and business strategies.

·         Review and evaluate the company’s business strategy /investments against the background of trends and new development in the sector.

·         Analyze information data on the company’s performance, conduct peer group analysis and periodic information on the company’s status in the industry.

·         Design and implement periodic bench mark exercise on the performance of the company in key strategic area of customer service, financial, brand perception, visibility, market share, channel etc.

·         Determine and track required performance, reliability requirement and research of how product and services to improve company’s profit

·         Ensure compliance with statutory laws and regulations

Qualification:

·         B.SC Business Administration or equivalent in related education field.

·         At least 5 years work experience with at least 5 years in research and product development

·         Ability to lead and motivate a team.

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Experience in the pension industry with proven record of performance is an added advantage.
