JOB VACANCIES IN THE OIL AND GAS DOWNSTREAM SECTOR



Our client is an indegineous player in the oil and gas downstream sector now expanding its operations into tank farm operations. Deangelo Ltd on behalf of our client, is looking to fill to the following positions in their tank farm depot located at Ogare in Delta State.


LABORATORY TECHNICIAN (Ref OOG 9/14)
Responsibilities: The Laboratory Technician Performs verifiable quality assurance tests on company products and prepares laboratory reports prior to service delivery on location. The main function of this role is to perform lab tests to company standards and recording the subsequent data accurately.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Laboratory Technology or relevant subject with a minimum of 5 years working experience. The candidates must have practical skills and an understanding of laboratory operations.


DEPOT MANAGER- (Ref OOG1/14)
Responsibilities : The Depot Manager will be responsible for the overall strategic management of the depot/ tank farm to ensure peak performance, profitability and full compliance to internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Depot Manager also manages other strategic business activities of the depot, including business planning, sales and distribution, customer service, and performance tracking, while ensuring the regular maintenance and effective functioning of all facilities and equipment in the Depot.
Qualification; A relevant first degree in Petroleum or Chemical Engineering or relevant engineering course inclusive of additional qualifications such as master’s degree with prior experience in depot managerial responsibilities with at least 15 years working experience.


OPERATION MANAGER (Ref OOG2/14)
Responsibilities: The operations manager will ensure cost effective storage, handling and distribution of prime products to customers of the depot in compliance with all relevant Nigerian petroleum laws, HSSE and Quality standards and policies. Ensuring the proper working operations of the depot with regards to efficiency in managing the operations of petroleum products tank farm, including the receipt of vessels/ cargo at the jetty, loading and other general tank farm activities.
Qualification: A first degree and master’s in relevant Engineering field with experience in the depot managerial responsibilities with at least 10 years working experience.
HSE MANAGER (Ref OOG3/14)
Responsibilities: the Health, Safety, and Environment  (HSE( Manager generally plans, coordinates and implement issues and directives within the organization. Ensuring safe environmental working conditions for all employees. Working to prevent accidents, infections, injuries and property loss due to natural causes or daily life circumstances.
Qualification: A relevant first degree plus all relevant safety qualifications and minimum of 10 years working experience
HSE OFFICER (Ref OOG4/14)
Responsibilities: The HSE officer is responsible for the implementation and execution of the operational business plan regarding health, safety and quality issues. Ensures compliance and adherence to safety procedures for the safety of both human and capital assets of the depot.
Qualification: A relevant first degree plus all necessary safety qualifications and a minimum of 5 years working experience.
ACCOUNTANT (Ref OOG 5/14)
Responsibilities: A financial professional who handles all bookkeeping, auditing and other monetary issues for an energy company. In addition to ordinary accounting duties, also maintain an in – depth knowledge of energy laws to ensure their employer’s compliance.
Qualification: A relevant degree in A ccounting or social sciences. Relevant professional qualification and a minimum of 5 years working experience.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (Ref OOG6/14)
Responsibilities: The business development officer would be solely responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies and tactics to meet and axceed sale targets as well as ensuring that the overall business objective of profitability and growth are met efficiently. The Business Development Officer is accountable for the revenue growth, customer acquisition and customer relationship management within the company. Responsibilities include prospecting, qualifying, presenting, and closing opportunities of services to ship owners, ship charters and oil and gas companies.
Qualification: A first degree in business management or engineering related discipline and relevant experience in marketing or business development in the oil and gas downstream sector with a minimum of 5 years experience in the same position with at least 2 years in the maritime sector.
FRONT DESK OFFICER (Ref OOG 7/14)
Responsibilities: Will serve as the face of the firm. The responsibilities of the front desk officer will include the overall management of the front desk/reception. Answering and directing incoming phone calls or enquiries to the appropriate personnel, placing calls on behalf of staff of the organization and attending to clients.
Qualification: A first degree in any field. Must have excellent communication and relationship, management skills. Minimum of 5 years working experience.
MAINTENANCE OFFICER (Ref OOG8/15)
Responsibilities: Responsible for the general maintenance of all depot equipment. Ensuring optimal operational, functioning of all equipment with minimal down time experience. Keeping a log book of the maintenance of all depot equipment, such that all maintenance service times are met and performed.
Qualification: Relevant trade certification in mechanical and electrical engineering with a minimum of 5 years working experience in the oil and gas sector.
 
PRODUCT LOADER 9Ref OOG 10/14)
Responsibilities: Responsible for the loading of product and ensures the smooth and efficient running of the gantry operations. Following instructions as directed from operations and ensuring no order miscalculations.
Qualification: An OND plus relevant trade certificate with a minimum of 5 years working experience.
