NATIONAL MERIT UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

SNEPCo on behalf of itself and its co-ventures is Launching the SNEPCo National Merit University Scholarship Scheme. The Scheme aims to promote academic excellence and improve the skills of young Nigerians.

The merit –based scholarship is open to undergraduates studying any of the under-listed coursed in the

Universities within Nigeria:

i.                     Chemical/Process Engineering

ii.                   Chemistry

iii.                  Civil Engineering

iv.                 Electrical Engineering

v.                   Geophysics

vi.                 Geoscience/Geology

vii.                Instrumentation Engineering

viii.              Material /Corrosion Engineering

ix.                 Mathematics/Applied Mathematics

x.                   Mining Engineering

xi.                 Petroleum Engineering

xii.                Physics/Applied Physics

xiii.              Process Control Engineering

WHO CAN APPLY?

Eligible applicants must:

·         Have successfully completed a secondary education, with a minimum of credits in seven subjects, including Mathematics and English, in their O/Levels

·         Have been offered admission for the 2013/2014 academic session, in an accredited and approved University in Nigeria

·         Be enrolled full-time, in a University Nigeria at the undergraduate level with a minimum grade point average of 3.5 at the time of application (attached transcripts or official records);

·         Submit online application at: www.scholastica.ng/schemes/SNEPCo

HOW TO APPLY:

1.       All applicants should have their personal valid email account (for consistent communication)

2.       Candidates who meet the above entry qualifications should apply online, at www.scholastica.ng/schemes/SNEPCo to provide the required personal and educational details, and upload scanned copies of the following:

·         A recent passport –sized photograph of the applicant (i.e. jpeg format, not more than 200 kilobytes

·         University or JAMB (UTME or D/E) Admission letter;

·         Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) Scores;

·         O’Level results; and ‘A’ Level /OND/NCE Results as applicable; and

·         Letter of identification from state (showing local Government) of origin.

Please note: Each document must not exceed 200 KB and the image format must be in JPEG. Beware of fraudulent websites when applying for scholarship online. Such websites may ask you to pay even before you submit an application. These are fake sites which should be avoided. Generally, it is free to apply for SNEPCo scholarships online.

NOTE:

·         SNEPCo will not accept emailed applications. It is important to visit the official website for detailed information and to access the online application portal

·         SNEPCo is committed to providing scholarship opportunities that are not associated with application fees

·         SNEPCo DOES NOT ASSIGN ‘Representatives/ Agents’ to assist applicants process application

·         Applications should be submitted online on/or before Friday 31^st October, 2014.
