VACANCY FOR REGIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER AT GIBB; WEST AFRICA – ACCRA GHANA

Core Purpose

GIBB is a leading multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm based in South Africa. GIBB recognizes and appreciates the potential offered by the African continent and seeks a competent individual with proven expertise to assist us in increasing our African footprint.

This position will be based in Accra Ghana and will report to the Group Business Development Exclusive. The successful candidate will be required to expand GIBB’S business opportunities, deliver revenue in an assigned region through business development, sales and contracting activities and converting opportunities into firm work in West Africa (Nigeria, Accra Ghana, Ivory Coast and Cameroon)

This would be relevant for the following core markets;

·         Power and Energy

·         Hydro power (Dams and Tunneling)

·         Transportation (Roads, Rail, Airports, Ports)

·         Integrated Infrastructure (Bulk Services, Water Sanitation, Housing, Health)

·         Environmental services

Minimum Requirements:

·         B.SC Engineering/BCOM Management or Marketing

·         Post graduate qualification (MBA,MBL) would be an added advantage.

·         10 years of work experience

·         5 years of business development experience

·         5 years of experience within the built environment

·         Experience working in other African countries would be an advantage

·         Willingness to relocate and to travel extensively within Africa

·         Fluency in Swahili, French or Portuguese.
