DEAN- FACULTY OF
ENGINEERING:
The Benson Idahosa University
intends to establish a Faculty of Engineering and admit its first students in
the 2015/2026 academics session. In view of this, the University intends to
employ a Professor of Engineering as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering to
drive the process of establishment.
REQUIREMENTS:

Engineering Professor in Agriculture, Civil,
Electrical/Electronic/Computer or Mechanical Engineering or any of their
variants.
·
Must have senior administrative position in
Universities as Dean or Head of Department
·
High academic visibility at both national and
International levels
·
Ability to attract research funds and forge collaboration
with other institutions/organizations
Spiritual Leadership:
·
Be a person with strong spiritual (Christian)
testimony
·
Must be monogamous with a stable home
·
Be of high integrity, honest, forthright and
upright
CONDITION OF
SERVICE:
Similar to conditions of service
in Nigerian Universities. However, a special incentive is attached to this
position for enhances performance to achieve the purpose of the appointment
REGISTRAR:
The Registrar is the Chief
Administrative Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor
for the day-to-day general administrative working of the University.
The Registrar is also Secretary
to Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
a.
A good honours degree from a recognized
University. The possession of relevant higher or post graduate professional
qualification in appropriate fields would be an added advantage
b.
Professional leadership experience in
administration, of not lower than the rank of deputy Registrar in a University setting or similar institution
c.
Demonstrated knowledge of modern electronic
student and staff record storage, retrieve and delivery systems
d.
Demonstrate ability to lead project teams in a
complex environment that involves technology, personnel and end-users
e.
Knowledge of the policies and commission, (NUC)
joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and National Youth Service Corps
(NYSC)

SERVICE:
The successful candidate shall
hold the office of the Registrar for the period of five years subject to
satisfactory annual performance. Remuneration and other terms and conditions

Service. Such referees should be able to attest to the candidates’s claim to
higher academics and managerial capabilities as well as the candidates’s moral
uprightness
