(SEN) Teacher on Fixed term contract employment in the Nigeria LNG School,
Bonny Island.
Are you an exceptional, internationally minded SEN teacher
with the ability to work well in a team, supporting children through an
inclusive multi-disciplinary approach.
The successful candidates should be an outstanding
professional able to identify children with special educational needs and
accepts all children of NLNG Staff regardless of severity or complexity of
needs
Nigeria LNG School serves the Children of the Nigerian Staff
of NLNG as well as the company’s expatriate contractors and seconder’s. It is
located in the middle of a leafy, spacious, fenced compound in the NLNG
residential area. The current roll is 660.
The School was formerly made up of two streams; the
International stream and the Nigerian stream. In 2011, the school started an
International School Project to merge the two streams into one international
School following a single curriculum. The year by year transition began with
the early years department and now includes year one. The classes will continue
to merge n year –by –year basis.
Nigeria LNG School offers a comprehensive learning focused
curriculum for Children aged 3 – 12. The School follows the National Curriculum
for England for English Language and Mathematics and the International Primary
Curriculum (IPC) for all other subjects. In addition, the Nigerian streams
follow the Basic Education Curriculum for Nigeria.
