VACANCY AT NIGERIA MEDICAL PLANTS DEVELOPMENT COMPANY



Nigeria Medical Plants Development Company (NMPDC) formerly Artemisinin Development Company (ADC) is a Company that is currently supervised by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The aim of the Government is to build the company to a position that would attract investors through the creation of Enabling Environment and Establishment of structure. The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in pursuant to its functions to implement manage and administer the Nigeria Medical Plants Development Company (NMPDC).
JOB DESCRIPTION
    The successful candidate will be responsible for the Management of the Nigeria Medicinal Plants Development Company (NMPDC) as well as implement of the Company’s Strategies, Project and Programmes.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS/CONDITION
a.       Minimum of B.Sc or its equivalent from a recognized institution with not less than twenty years cognate experience. Ten (10) years of which must be a Senior Management Level in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
b.      A recognized Qualification in Pharmacy with not less than fifteen (15) years cognate experience in Pharmaceutical Industry. (10) years of which must be at management level.
c.       The candidate must possess excellent management, communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
d.      Excellent Computer skills including high proficiency in using Microsoft Office Programs
e.       The following shall be an added advantage;
Ø  A Post Graduate degree in Pharmacognosy and/or Analytical Chemistry
Ø  In addition, the candidate should be registered with Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN).

Malaria Consortium works with communities, Government and non-governmental agencies, academic institutions, local and international organizations; to ensure good evidence support delivery of effective services, providing technical support for monitoring and evaluation of program and activities for evidence-based decision –making and strategic planning.
Malaria Consortium (MC) recently received a grant with focus on bringing seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) to scale in seven Countries in the Sahel. Its major responsibility is to implement monthly drug administration to children during malaria transmission period and Seasonal Malaria Chemoprevention (SMC) for prevention and reduction of malaria effect.
The project now seeks to recruit professional in the following capacities:
POSITION; PROJECT MANAGER: (Abuja)
The Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all in-country project activities, ensuring consistency with MC framework and core values. The Job holder will work closely with the Regional Project Director and the in-country team to implement project start up, planning and budgeting activities.
Additional key responsibilities will include;
·         Liaise with NMCP, Ministry of Health and other key stakeholders carrying out SMC for effective coordination and service delivery;
·         Liaise with in-country Technical Director, Project team and other required stakeholders to develop an effective M and E framework;
·         Develop and implement work plans and activities to ensure deliverable are met and achieved at the required time frame;
·         Provide support for the development and production of disseminating documents for wider knowledge sharing of Malaria Consortium’s experiences, lessons and successes.
Qualifications: Interested candidate must have a Post-graduate degree in Public Health or related discipline. A minimum of 8 years’ experience with hands-on-experience in stakeholder engagement, supply chain management, project planning and budgeting are required for this position. Similar experience in a donor funded environment will be an added advantage. Frequent travels outside the country for technical meetings are required for this position.

The Factory Manager is responsible for general supervision of all phases of plant operations including production, quality control, maintenance, receiving, and shipping. Responsibilities also involve in recruiting, hiring and training personnel and facility /physical plant up – keep

Factory Cost Accountant:-Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting / Finance
The cost accountant position is accountable for the ongoing analysis of process constraints, target costing margin analysis, and tracing costs back to underlying activities. The cost accountant must also construct and monitor those cost-effective date accumulation systems needed to provide an appropriate level of costing information to management. He is also responsible for all account payables and receivables.
·         Ability to apply knowledge of generally Accept Accounting Principles and cost Accounting Standards
·         Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis
·         Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret cost data with good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
·         Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products with ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves
·         Strong organizational collaborative skills and ability to work independently under minimal supervision
