indigenous non-governmental organization implementing a comprehensive family
–focused HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment program in partnership with
the different tiers of the Government of Nigeria at national, state, local and
site levels. In line with the broadened scope of our work, the need for
increase staff capacity around specific areas have emerged. We therefore
require the services of resourceful, experienced and dynamic professional for
the following positions:
1.
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR; HUMAN RESOURCES:(Location:

Under the supervision of the
Director Management support services, the position will manage employee
relations and issues; provide advice regarding compensation and benefits;
manage employee recruitment, onboarding and retention activities; update and
monitor policies and procedures; manage various people-related projects and
ensure compliance with Nigerian Labour laws and organization policies and
procedures
Qualification, Knowledge Skills, and Ability:
·
Degree in Social Sciences or Management and a
Master’s degree desired
·
At least 5 years of progressive management and
supervisory experience managing donor-funded projects, grants and /or co-operative
agreements.
·
Proven
track record in grant writing including but not limited to international donor
grants, capacity building proposals and funding requests to private and public
foundations.
·
Knowledge
of grants and grants administration systems, processes and budgeting. Must have
in-depth knowledge of relevant USG or other donor rules and regulations (e.g
USG, DFID, WorldBank, Global Fund).
2.
GRANT OFFICER: (Location: Abuja;

Incumbent will act as the primary
contact for all contract, grants, and agreements. Review program/project
proposals to ensure technical compliance and consistency with organizational
programs units. Ensure full compliance with legal and documentation
requirements for all procurement activities in accordance with the requirement
of CDC/USG and other donor. Coordinate Institutional responses to projects bids
and ensure narrative addresses all elements of Request for Proposals (RFP) or
Request for applications (RFA). Ensure ongoing monitoring of grants program
goals and monthly performance reports as required.
Qualification, Knowledge Skills, and Ability:

BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING ASSOCIATE(#

Incumbent will support the
equipment management program of the organization. Support installation,
maintenance and repair plan for medical/laboratory equipment across supported
sites to ensure that they are functional and at optimum performance level.
Supervise equipment installation by vendor and trainings for supported user
facility staff on usage and maintenance of such equipment. Conduct trainings for
laboratory Scientists/technician to perform regular maintenance for equipment
and ensure continuity.
Qualification, Knowledge Skills, and Ability:
·
B.SC or HND in Biomedical Engineering,
Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
·
At least 5 years’ experience in the installation
and maintenance of laboratory equipment and analyzers
·
Experience in maintaining equipment like Vitros
DT 60 II, V250, Sysmex, Cobas, PartecCyflow analyzers.
·
A Medical Laboratory background will be an added
advantage.
·
Registration with the Nigerian Institute for
Biomedical Engineering
4.
PREVENTION SERVICE MANAGER:

The successful candidate will
provide leadership and strengthen capacity in the effective implementation of
HIV Sexual Transmission Prevention (HIV STP) and HIV Medical Transmission
Prevention (HIM MTP) services. Incumbent will have strong competences and
experience in HTC and HIV prevention activities.
Qualification, Knowledge Skills, and Ability:

Advanced Degree in Medicine, Public Health or
related field (MD preferred)
·
At least
7 years post NYSC experience working in health care system in Nigeria.
·
At least 3 years HIV programming experience and

SENIOR BEHAVIOUR CHANGE AND
COMMUNICTION ASSOCIATE:(Location:Abuja; email;sbccassocabuja@yahoo.com)
Incumbent will coordinate and
provide technical assistant for all SBC support activities as part of the
program. Provide technical assistance in the design, implementation and
evaluation of SBC/Community Mobilization activities. Coordinates the
adaptation/development of IEC/Media materials for the program and also work
closely with the various sub-grantees to design and deliver communications
interventions for behavior change target group. Provide technical support to
build the capacity of local sub-grantees; work with CBOs and other staff to
facilitate the transfer of skills to people living with HIV/AIDS and their families
for prevention, support and care. Assist in the application of program
evaluation results, Newsletters, maintain communication websites, and prepare
reports.
Qualification, Knowledge Skills, and Ability:
·
A Degree in Public Health, Behavioural Science, Health
communication, Health promotion and Education, or related field (or its
equivalent)
·
At least 4 years post NYSC working experience in
supporting SBCC/IEC programs and health promotion and health education.
Experience in behavioural based strategic information (SI).
·
Ability to apply research to health initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to develop creative programs, networks, linkages with
clients and collaborating organizations.
·
Familiarity with USAID programs highly desired.
6.
SENIOR ADHERENCE ASSOCIATE:

Incumbent serves as a resource
for the evaluation of ongoing pediatrics care and treatment programs, and
subsequent development of new and / or expanded programs for the care treatment
of HIV/AIDS in infants, children, and teenager. Perform site visits and assessments
of treatment facilities to assess, initiate, and enhance pediatric care and
treatment services. Develop linkages with PMTCT programs to ensure follow-up of
HIV –exposed infants.
Qualification, Knowledge Skills, and Ability:
·
A Degree in Public Health, Nursing or strongly
related discipline is required.
·
At least 5 years post NYSC Clinical experience
in HIV/AIDS care and antiretroviral treatment.
·
Experience in managing Pediatrics patients and
health care program development.
·
Excellent grasp of clinical issues and current
literature in Pediatrics, HIV/AIDS.
·
Training facilitation experience and technical
skills to support facility staff in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment.
7.
PHARMACY/LOGISTICS ASSOCIATE:

Incumbent will plan and support
the delivery of high quality pharmaceutical care services and the
implementation of an efficient health commodity logistics system for the
organization in accordance with donor requirements and stipulated guidelines of
the Federal Government of Nigeria. Assist in managing the pharmaceutical care
aspect of the HIV care and treatment program.
Qualification, Knowledge Skills, and Ability:
·
Bachelor’s degree in relevant Science or
Management field.
·
Registration with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria
·
At least 2 years’ experience working as a
hospital based pharmacist.
·
Must have knowledge of and experience with HIV
care and treatment medication.
·
Must have previous experience working in a
multidisciplinary team in a clinical setting.
8.
SENIOR STRATEGIC INFORMATION

Incumbent provides technical
leadership at the state and support the planning and implementation of
Strategic Information (SI) activities. Collaborate with the respective state to
drive the lead partner agenda of the USG and Government of Nigeria in SI
activities and the establishment of a systematic process for routine tracking
and reporting and use of programmatic services statistics across all supported
entities. Drive the implementation of sustainable patient-level database plan
including supervision, management and service statistics, quality assurance
across all support entities and projects.
Qualification, Knowledge Skills, and Ability:
·
Bachelor’s Degree in Epidemiology, Sociology,
Behavioural Science, Biostatistics, Public Health, and International Health.
Master’s degree in related discipline.
·
At least 7 years post NYSC experience in monitoring
and evaluation of health programs, preferably related to HIV/AIDS and
reproductive health (maternal and newborn health experience), including the use
of data to inform decision making, communication, planning resource allocation
and other strategic initiatives.
·
Quantitative and analytical skills and ability
ti communicate technical information clearly and effectively both technical and
non-technical colleagues.
9.
STRATEGIC INFORMATION OFFICER:

Incumbent will assist in
providing technical support in the planning and implementation of Strategic
Information (SI) activities at supported health facilities. Development and refinement
of strategic Information materials. Provide support in the development of a
systematic procedure for monthly patient monitoring and programmatic progress.
Support routine data quality checks in all supported sites. Collect, collate
and report all data tracked by the program. Support Data Clerks to verify and
edit data to ensure compatibility with data entry system and procedural
requirements. Mentor facility staff to ensure that the data entered into
hospital database is accurate, consistent and according to prescribed format.
Qualification, Knowledge Skills, and Ability:
·
Degree in Medical Record, Statistics or any
discipline in the Social Sciences.
·
At least 2 years’ working experience in the
implementation and management of health Strategic Information system (HIV/AIDS
Programming preferred)
·
High-level computer skills using MS Excel, MS
Access, SPSS and /or SAS and Epi-Info Windos
·
Basic data management and analysis skills
·
Knowledge of electronic medical records system
and deployment of database system for patient monitoring an asset.
·
Excellent interpersonal skills
