Post Title:                                           WASH Specialist

1)      WASH Specialist NOC will be accountable for formulation, design, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of WASH programme to ensure overall efficiency and effectiveness of the programme management, delivery and accomplishment of UNICEF programme goals and objectives for the country.
Minimum Requirements:
·         Advanced University degree in one of the discipline relevant to the following areas: Public Health, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, Hydrology, Sanitation Engineering or a field relevant to international WASH related development assistance
·         Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in the UN or other international development organization, national government or the private sector, field work experience.

Post Title:                                           WASH Officer
Level:                                                    water, sanitation and Hygiene Specialist (NOB)
Contract Type:                                  Fixed Term
Duration:                                             At least one year
Location:                                             Multiple Duty Stations
2)      WASH Officer NOB will be accountable for professional technical contribution to programme/project, design, planning, Administration, monitoring and evaluation of WASH programme/ project activities, data analysis and progress reporting, and commitment for enhancement of teamwork and capacity building in support of achievement of planned objectives of the work plan, align with UNICEF programme goals and strategy for the country.
Minimum Requirements:
·         University degree in one of the discipline relevant to the following areas: Public Health, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geology, Hydrology, Sanitation Engineering or a field relevant to international WASH related development assistance
·         Two years of professional work experience in the UN or other international development organization, national government or the private sector, field work experience.
Minimum Technical Knowledge Requirements for all above positions:
·         Essential Technical Knowledge of theories, principles and methods in one of the following areas communication for behavior change, WASH in schools rural water supply project implementation, planning, evaluation, appropriate water supply and quality technology i.e community based water supply, controlling water borne related diseases, emergency (preparedness and response)
·         Knowledge of the latest theories, technology and practices in: Community based sanitation i.e. hygiene education or latrine construction and waste management
·         Gender and diversity awareness
·         Additional training in health Education or Comunication for Development (Programme Communicaion) an asset.
