QUALIFICATION:
I)                    Professor: Candidates seeking appointment as professor must have a Doctorate degree in the relevant field and must have a minimum of 15 years teaching and research experience and must show evidence of contributions to knowledge in the form of several ground-breaking publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals and books published by reputable publishers. The candidates must also show evidence of academic leadership in the form of successfully supervised postgraduate’s theses, and some administrative experience. Candidates who already hold chairs of other Nigerian University will have an advantage.
II)                  Reader: Candidates seeking appointment as Reader must hold a Doctorate degree in the relevant field and must have a minimum of 12 years teaching and research experience and must show evidence of scholarly publications in peer-reviewed journal and books published by reputable publishers. The candidate must show evidence of having published several articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
III)                Senior Lecturer: Candidates seeking appointment as Senior Lecturer must hold a Doctorate degree in the relevant field and must have a minimum of 8 years teaching and research experience . The candidate must also show evidence of having published several articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals.
IV)               Lecturer I: Candidates seeking appointment as Lecturer l must hold a Doctorate degree in the relevant field or show evidence of having made substantial progress towards completing their doctorial theses in addition to having a minimum 5 years teaching and research experience and some scholarly publications.
V)                 Lecturer ll: candidates seeking appointment as Lecturer ll must possess a very good or excellent first degree and good Master’s degree in the relevant field in addition to having a minimum of two years teaching experience. Candidates who possess the Doctorate degree are eligible for appointment to a Lectureship without any previous teaching experience.
VI)               Academic Staff Salaries: the salaries and other conditions of service are similar to what obtains in other Universities in Nigeria.

a.       Senior Technologist: Candidates must have possessed a B.SC/HND Degree from any recognized Institution in relevant areas at least six (6) years post – qualification work experience.
b.      Technologist l: Candidates must have possessed a B.SC/HND Degree from any recognized Institution in relevant areas at least three (3) years of post- qualification work experience.
c.       Technologist ll: Candidates must have possessed a B.SC/HND Degree from any recognized Institution in relevant areas at least six (6) years of post- qualification work experience.
d.      Laboratory Assistant: Candidates must have NIST basic or proficiency certificate in addition to SSCE with four credits including Mathematics and other Science subject.
e.      Laboratory Attendant: Candidates must have four credits including Mathematics and other Science subject
