VACANCIES AT EXCELLENT COMMUNITY EDUCATION WELFARE SCHEME (ECEWS)



Excellent Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd (ECEWS) is a leading indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to qualitative healthcare, Education and Economic strengthening services in Nigeria. Our staff includes expert in health, Education, Social work, youth, Civil Society and Research. Our LOCATE project’s CDC/PEPFAR HIV prevention, care and treatment program is currently seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
1.       MONITORING AND EVALUATION ADVISOR (Enugu State)
Overall Job Function:
Will guide the drive to achieve set targeted through establishment of effective program Monitoring and Evaluation system in the Facilities across the three states, will develop a proficient M & E system that is able tom produce reliable data for effective decision making and reporting, provide technical Support to the State M & E Officers in carrying out their essential duties and responsibilities. Build the capacity of Health care workers through routine on site mentoring and supportive supervisory visits on proper documentation and reporting system using appropriate national CDC/USG tools for effective patient monitoring and management.
Minimum Recruitment Standard:
B.SC in Statistics or related field with at least 5 to 7 years experience in monitoring and evaluation of public health programs. An MPH and a previous experience in a PEPFAR/USAID ART, PMTCT and RJI program will be an advantage. Quantitative and analytical skills with the, competence to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical colleagues.

2. COMPUTER PROGRAMMER, (Enugu State)
Overall Job Function:
Timely and accurate reporting on LOCATE project depend largely on the Health Management information System developed in-house for data storage and retrieval synergizing with relevant reporting platform in the country. The incumbent will bring on board models that allow patient / facility level data entry, storage, analytical and interpretation. The design must also allow for collaboration with other reportage platform developed by United States Centers for Disease Control and prevention Nigeria office, United States Government, and Government of Nigeria.
Minimum Recruitment Standard:
Qualifications shall include strong analytical thinking skills, efficient problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A programmer should be knowledgeable about the aspect of the particular business, such as finances for banking programs or artistic expression for graphic design programs.
·         Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or information Technology, with a post –graduate qualification in information technology, Database certification will be an added advantage
·         2-3 years in data or business analysis or related field
·         High level proficiency in MS Word, Power-point , Excel (developer level), Access along with working application analytical software (SAS or SPSS), and other programming language like Java, MS-SQL, MYSOL, ORACLE or any other RDBMS package.
·         Deployment of network /desktop packages
·         Solid understanding of database architecture and development
·         Knowledge of international messaging standards  (especially HL7)
·         Excellent facilitation, mentoring, and communication skills to enable him conduct training and supervisions to LOCATE facilities staff
·         Knowledge of Health Information and experience in HIV/AIDS Patient Management and Monitoring software will be an added advantage
·         Ability to commit 40% of work time to sites support and supervision visits.
3. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT: (Akwa Ibom State)
Overall Job Function:
Will provide administrative support to the Procurement and Supply Chain Management Activities. Manage prioritization and timely replaces to e-mail, responding on behalf of Director of Finance, Procurement Officer and Supply Chain Management, Advisor as appropriate. Track all correspondence to ensure requested responses are returned in a timely manner. Ensure technical and administrative support is provided to staff and vendors as needed.
Minimum Recruitment Standard:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience supporting Finance and Administrative Managers in an administrative support capacity in a Non-Governmental Organization.
4. CLINICAL CARE SPAECIALIST: (Enugu and Imo State)
Overall Job Function:
This position provides technical support for multidisciplinary HIV/AIDS care and treatment, working with organization clinicians and health facility based site team to implement care and antiretroviral treatment services. The objective of this position is to strengthen the leadership and the capacity of supported facilities in the coordination of all stakeholders to ensure access to quality medical care and treatment for HIV patients, to support the integration of HIV services within the health sector and to strengthen the Clinical components of Tuberculosis, Malaria and other diseases.
Minimum Recruitment Standard:
·         MBBS with 5-7 years of professional experience working in Clinical care with good understanding of HIV/AIDS with provision of PMTCT and ART in resource constrained setting.
·         An MPH or post graduate degree in related field and familiarity with Nigeria public Health
1.       MOTOR VEHICLE OFFICER: (Akwa Ibom, Enugu, Imo, Ebony States and Abuja)
Overall Job Function:
The position provides reliable and secure driving services to the project team. The incumbent will ensure proper use of vehicle and ensure day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle. The incumbent projects a professional company image through interaction, appearance and attitude.
Minimum Recruitment Standard:
Minimum relevant qualification from secondary academics institution. Valid Driver’s license Knowledge of Microsoft office and telephone protocol is an added advantage, a previous experience in conducting liaison work with government and international agencies and NGO’s, a Minimum of 3 years work experience as a driver, safe driving record; knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repair.
