ActionAid Nigeria
(AAN) is a not for profit, non–governmental entity registered with the Nigeria
Corporate Affairs Commission. It commenced operation in Nigeria in 1999, while
the programmatic operations commences in January 2000 through a country
Agreement signed with the National Planning Commission of the Federal Republic
of Nigeria.
ActionAid is an Anti-poverty agency that prioritises works
with the poor and excluded; promoting values and commitment in civil society,
institutions and governments with the world. ActionAid Nigeria is an affiliate
of ActionAid International Non-Governmental Organization registered in the Netherlands
with its headquarters in Johannesburg South Africa. ActionAid International
works in more than 40 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
AAN is inviting application from qualified candidates to
fill the following positions:
Position: FINANCE OFFICER, ABUJA:
The Finance Officer will support in the implementation of
strengthening Citizen’s Engagement with Electoral Process (SCEEP) Project.
Person Specifications
Education/Qualifications:
·
First degree in Accounting or Finance is
essential.
·
Chartered Accounting Professional Certification
is desirable.
Experience:
·
At least five (5) years post NYSC experience,
three(3) of which should have been spent in a finance position with Sound
Practical knowledge of SUN accounting software and Spreadsheets (MS Office in
general) are essential
·
Experience in working with International
development agencies is desirable.
Skills/Abilities
·
Attention to details; fluency in spoken and
written English language;
·
Ability to work independently and in a team and
highly numerate skills are essential.
·
Strong analytical/problem solving skills are
essential.
·
Excellent planning and prioritization skills are
desirable.
Personal Qualities
·
A well developed, proven interpersonal and organizational
management skills.
·
Ability to work effectively in a diverse team
environment.
·
Creative and ability to take initiative.
·
Ability to work effectively in a diverse team
environment
·
Willing to work additional hour at crucial times
and a high sense of integrity are essential.
