VACANCY FOR THE POSITION OF PROGRAMME OFFICER GOVERNANCE AT ACTIONAID NIGERIA

ActionAid Nigeria (AAN) is a not for profit, non–governmental entity registered with the Nigeria Corporate Affairs Commission. It commenced operation in Nigeria in 1999, while the programmatic operations commences in January 2000 through a country Agreement signed with the National Planning Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

AAN is inviting application from qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

Position: PROGRAMME OFFICER GOVERNANCE, ABUJA:

The Programme Officer Governance will support in the implementation of strengthening Citizen’s Engagement with Electoral Process (SCEEP) Project.

Person Specifications

Education/Qualifications:

·         First degree in Political Sciences, Arts, or Humanities is essential.

Experience:

·         At least three (3) years post NYSC work experience in Governance programming and administration is essential.

·         Field experience working in communities and development agencies are desirable.

·         Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office is essential.

Skills/Abilities

·         Excellent planning and prioritization skills in essential.

·         Numerate skills is essential

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential

Personal Qualities

·         Demonstrate commitment to supportive team working

·         Ability to creatively take initiative

·         Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment

·         Willing to work additional hour at crucial times
