GREAT VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT AT EQUAL ACCESS


Equal Access (EA) is an International not for profit organization working through Asia, Africa and the Middle East. A communications for social change organization that combines the power of media with community mobilization. Equal Access creates customized communications strategies and outreach solutions that foster peace building and social cohesion, women and girls empowerment, youth life skills and livelihoods, human right, health as well as civic participation and good governance. EA has launched AREWA24, a Hausa –language free tot air satellite television channel ( on NILESAT 102, Frequency 12226) locally produced by and for northern Nigerians and fully dedicated to the people, cultures, and values of northern Nigeria and the Hausa-speaking sub-region.
With a state of original and premier international programming, AREWA24’s goal is to create an authentic Hausa –language television platform that enriches the lives of the Northern Nigeria viewers and project the beauty, promise, and potential of northern Nigeria. Produced by a team of 50+ Nigerian media professionals and through partnerships with local production studios. AREWA24 features 9 original weekly Hausa-language productions, Hausa-language films, and a variety of appropriate international content dubbed or subtitled into Hausa.
As part of the project Equal Access is recruiting for various positions in its country office. In addition, Equal Access is seeking a company or entity to undertake a viewership survey of audience’s viewing preference and habits in key states (including Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, and Jigawa) in Northern Nigeria. EA is also recruiting for individual enumerators (surveyors) who can administer the survey, which will enable AREWA24 to produce and air programming that best responds to audience preference and priorities for more information, please see the below.
