VACANCIES AT INSPECTION AND CERTIFCATION SERVICE PROVIDER



Our client, a growing indigenous Inspection and Certification service provider based in Lagos, seeks to fill the following key positions, as a result of its strategic repositioning drive:

1.       OPERATIONS MANAGER:
Responsibilities:
·         Manage and oversee company services rendered to client
·         Develop and manage annual budget, ensure operation cost does not exceed as planned
·         Work closely with clients to understand requirements and ensure smooth workflow is maintained at all time.

Requirements:
·         Minimum of B.SC or HND in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Marine or Welding Engineering, with training and certification as an ISO 9001-2008 lead Quality/Auditor
·         Minimum of ten (10) years experience, three in a senior position
·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skill.

2.       TRAINING COORDINATOR:
Responsibilities:
·         Design, improve and implement an effective training management system ensure that all necessary technical and procedural documentations area available as required for compliance with requirements of regulatory agencies and professional bodies
·         Coordinate the acceptance of candidates onto approved programmes and ensure that process integrity is sustained.
Requirements:
·         Masters or Doctorate degree in technical education
·         Training as an ISO 9001-2008 Quality/Auditor is an advantage
·         Minimum of ten (10) years experience, three in similar position is required.

3.       BUSINESS ANALYST/ PUBLISHING EDITOR
Responsibilities:
·         Provide company with business intelligence
·         Develop required report from business application for management use
·         Plan, implement and mange company’s publications
·         Produce reviews, literature highlights and features in company journals
Requirements:
·         B.SC or HND in Business Administration or Social Sciences plus a Diploma in journalism with a minimum of seven (7) years experience
·         Experience as a journalist is an added advantage
·         Have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
·         Must have good knowledge of desk top publishing, Microsoft word, etc.
·         Be self-starter and able to manage changing priorities and own workload with minimal or no supervision.

4.       EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO MD
Responsibilities:
·         Maintain an effective management system for the MD
·         Plan MD’s itinerary and meetings
·         Provide secretarial support during meetings
·         Screen incoming mails and communication
·         Making correspondence on behalf of MD
Requirements:
·         A good University degree or HND in Social or Management sciences and a minimum of five (5) years in similar role
·         Must be very proficient in the use of computer.

5.       ACCOUNTS OFFICER:
Responsibilities:
·         Ensure that all necessary books of account are properly kept
·         Prepare bank reconciliation statements
·         Prepare detailed financial budget and forecasts
·         Implement and operate accounting system and procedures
Requirements:
·         B.SC or HND in Accounting, Professional qualification is an advantage
·         Minimum of seven (7) years experience, three in a position as an account officer.

6.       MARINE SURVEYOR (Class 1)
Responsibilities:
·         Inspect ships and offshore structures for damage conditions
·         Determine the cause, nature and extent of loss associated with accident involving ships and offshore structures
·         Identify, analyze and evaluate risk associated with the operation of ships and insure equipment
·         Inspect steam boilers, pressure vessels, cranes and lifting equipment.
Requirements:
·         Possess a 1st Class Certificate of Competence in Marine Engineering, and must have served as a Chief Engineer onboard a foreign going vessel or a coastal vessel
·         Experience on Tankers and offshore supply Vessel is required
·         Experience on the operation of steam boiler and lifting equipment is required

7.       MARINE SURVEYOR (Class 2)
Responsibilities:
·         Inspect ships and offshore structures for damage conditions
·         Determine the cause, nature and extent of loss associated with accident involving ships and offshore structures
·         Identify, analyze and evaluate risk associated with the operation of ships and insure equipment
·         Inspect steam boilers, pressure vessels, cranes and lifting equipment
Requirements:
·         Possess a 2nd Class Certificate of Competence in Marine Engineering, and must have served as a 2nd  Engineer onboard a foreign going vessel or a coastal vessel.
·         Experience on Tankers and offshore supply Vessel is required
·         Experience on the operation of steam boiler and lifting equipment is required

8.       CARGO SURVEYOR
Responsibilities:
·         Inspect both wet and dry cargo from vessels
·         Advise on loading, storage and secure conditions of cargo
·         Analyze data obtained from survey, and formulate recommendations pertaining to vessel capacities
·         Investigate cause, nature and extent of cargo damage.
·         Requirements:
·         Minimum of five (5) years marine survey experience
·         Excellent written and verbal skill
·         Ability to work independently in the field in a marine environment
·         Ability to perform draft, cleanliness, bunker and condition survey
·         Proficiency in Microsoft office, especially Excel and Word is required

9.       CLAIMS COORDINATOR:
Responsibilities:
·         Investigate marine insurance claims and analyze finding with respect to policy terms and conditions
·         Liaise with engineers and lawyers in claim evaluation processes
Requirements:
·         B.SC or HND in Insurance, with at least eight (8) years experience in the Marine Insurance Claims department of an Insurance company
·         CIIN certification would be an advantage
·         Experience in a marine adjusting firm would be an advantage.

10.   INSTRUMENT CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN
Responsibilities:
·         Calibrate, maintain, repair and troubleshoot measurement devices and test equipment to ensure conformance with approved industry standards of performance and reliability.
·         Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on test equipment
·         Record and report detailed instrument calibration information
·         Requirements:
·         Diploma in instrumentation or Electrical /Electronics Engineering, or
·         Certification in calibration Technology or associated field
·         Minimum of five (5) years experience in calibration of instruments
·         Must be familiar with industry calibration standards
·         Should have computer and electronic skills
