Entrepreneurship, Access and Development Project.
Cuso International, an
International volunteer development organization based in Cross River State is
implementing a 5 year Youth Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Access and
Development 9YouLead) project in Cross River State. youLead supports creation
of youth-led entreprises and employment for young women and men in natural
resource sectors of forestry, agriculture, aquaculture and eco-tourism across
18 LGAs. Cuso Internationl therefore invites applications from qualified
candidates for the following positions:
NATIONAL RESOURCE
MANAGEMENT POLICY-PROJECT MANAGER
Functions and Duties:
·
Lead on the provision of technical support to
government and civil society organization on the interaction of human
activities , with a focus on youth employment and entrepreneurship which may
benefit, influence or harm the natural environment in the forestry,
eco-agriculture, aquaculture and eco-tourism sectors.
·
Support the development of natural resource
management policies, procedures and practices, and the coordination of government
stakeholders, civil society actors and the private sector in these activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and Experience
·
Minimum of 3 years experience in programming in
natural resources in relation to youth employment generation and security
livelihood
·
In-depth understanding of the political, economics
and social aspects (including youth employment and entrepreneurship) of
environment and NRM issues in Nigeria.
·
Knowledge of NRM theory, methodologies and
practices. Work experience in NRM policy analysis and managing policy analysis,
in particular, in working with MDAs
·
Working knowledge of Nigeria government
organization, procedures at the federal, state and L.G.A levels, and
legislation and policies with respect to NRM
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant
field. Master’s degree and/or relevant training in areas related to the project
are assets.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND
GENDER EQUITY-PROJECT MANAGER
Functions and Duties:
·
Leads on the provision of leadership,
coordination and integration on entrepreneurship and vocational skills
development to effectively engage youth in gender-responsive entrepreneurship
and employment in the forestry, eco-agriculture, aquaculture and eco-tourism
sectors.
·
Lead on the provision of technical support to
civil organization and training Institutions in collaboration with the private
sector to strengthen entrepreneurship skills development.
·
Leads on promoting gender equality as a
cross-cutting item within the YouLead project.
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and Experience
·
Minimum of 3 years experience in entrepreneurship
training vocational skills and business development in the natural resources
and agricultural sector in relation to youth wealth creation, employment
generation and security livelihood
·
Knowledge in gender equality mainstreaming,
private sector development and SME start up and capacity building
·
Knowledge in mentoring, financial intermediation
and provision of business development services
·
Experience in Project management and team work.
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant
field. Master’s degree and/or relevant training in areas related to the entrepreneurship,
vocational and business development.
KNOWLEDGE AND
COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT-PROJECT MANAGER
Functions and Duties:
·
Leads on the project Monitoring and Evaluation
and learning (MEAL) system and in Project communication
·
Responsible for guiding the overall MEAL
strategy and implementation of related activities with the project team and via
partners.
·
Responsible for design and implementation of the
communication strategy, as well as providing timely and relevant information to
project stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and Experience
·
Minimum of 3 years experience in project monitoring
and evaluation and learning (MEAL)
·
Significant proven experience in logical framework
approach and others strategic planning approaches communication, representation
and networking skills
·
Development and technical knowledge experience
in monitoring and evaluation
·
Good team work and IT skills.
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant
field. Master’s degree and/or relevant training in Agricultural economics,
statistics and natural resources.
FINANCE OFFICER:
Functions and Duties:
·
Responsible for supporting day to day financial
activities within the YouLead Project.
·
Responsible for accurate financial records and
timely execution of financial administration processes
·
Responsible for management of cash flow, asset
and banking reconciliation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and Experience
·
Relevant Accounting qualification or diploma
with a minimum of 3 years experience in financial management position
·
Experience working with financial /accounting
software and spreadsheet such as Excel, SAGE and QuickBook
·
Proven record of providing good customer service
to internal and external clients
·
Good team work and IT skills
·

EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,
and Finance or relevant qualification.
ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Functions and Duties:
·
Using a variety of software packages such as
Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power-point, Excel, Access, etc., to produce
correspondence and document and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets
and databases
·
Devising and maintaining office system, booking
rooms and conference facilities, attending meetings, taking minutes and keeping
notes, liaising with staff in other department and with external contracts,
ordering and maintaining stationary and equipment
·
Organizing and storing paperwork, documents and
computer – based information, photocopying and printing various documents.
EDUCATION:
A Bachelor’s degree or Diploma relevant
skills.
